Help:Adding a route
From SCWiki
[edit]
General
If you're adding a new route , please add it to the New Routes Database on the main site so that we can keep that as up to date as possible. If you also want to add it to the Wiki in the correct place, feel free to do so. If not we'll add it to the bottom of the the correct page in a New Routes section - you'll then be able to move it to the correct place if you want to.
Existing routes shouldn't be added to the NRDB, you should just add them directly to the crag's page.

Format
This is the format we'd like you to use:
Looney Tunes 8m E4 6a **
Michael Tweedley & Mark Somerville (both Led) - 1999
This short, bouldery, gritstone-esque route climbs the short arete which lies 2 metres right of Cha.
The code looks like this:
'''Looney Tunes 8m E4 6a **'''<br /> ''Michael Tweedley & Mark Somerville (both Led) - 1999''<br /> This short, bouldery, gritstone-esque route climbs the short arete which lies 2 metres right of Cha.
A note on grade formats.
- Traditional routes: Please use abbreviated UK Tradition grades, i.e. E1 5b, S, HVS, Diff...
- Sport routes: Use the French Grading system with lower case letters (to distinguish French sport grades from Font bouldering grades), ie 7a+
- Boulder problems: Use whatever is appropriate to the area. To distinguish Font bouldering grades from French sport grades please use upper case letters, ie 7B
- Winter routes: Use the Scottish grading system, ie VI 6
